Video - Keep the Hope Alive
Calum Martin writes:
"We are now in the 30th year since Alison was abducted in Northern India in August 1981 and to mark this occasion and in an effort to maximise and re-awaken publicity I have decided to release a song specially written for this purpose where musical friends from both sides of the Atlantic have kindly given of their talents to be part of the project.
"At the request of her father Rev Kenny Macdonald (and in view of the Island connection with the Macdonald family), all proceeds from the sale of this project will be donated to The Bethesda Home and Hospice here in Stornoway.
"At this stage, two songs will be released for Digital Download, one song which I have written 'Keep the Hope Alive' and a version of the Runrig song 'Hearts of Olden Glory'. It is also intended to make it available for sale as a CD Single if there is a demand for this, especially on the Islands. Also in today’s global music market, (and to make the necessary impact), a Video of the project is also being envisaged."
